| The challenge: Creating a bridge to the exterior |
Situated in lively Hamburg-Ottensen, this project offered us the opportunity of linking the interior of the bistro with a forecourt, thus creating a unique outdoor space for the restaurant. |
|
| The design: one continuous line |
| We collaborated with designer, Alexander Wedell, on the design of the bok asia bistro in Hamburg Ottensen. The result is a spacious scheme in warm colours, which creates a really friendly ambience. |

The glass façade, which can be opened fully when required, gives a free view out onto the street allowing interior and exterior space to merge.
In order to emphasise this inner-outer connection even further, we extended the flooring, made in coated cast asphalt, right out into the street space. The stripes take up the design of the bok logo, providing a quiet backdrop to the patterns of the interior walls and the hanging lamps radiating their warm light. |
